Praise for ABCs of Coronavirus
"The ABCs of Coronavirus is a must have for young children during this pandemic! Clear, age-appropriate, and with engaging illustrations, Sophia and Sean Nesamoney's wonderful book does exactly what experts say to do: provide children simple and honest information. The ABC's of Coronavirus fills a void in developmentally appropriate literature on what Covid is and how to stay healthy and safe. Highly recommended!" - Lauren Schryver, French Teacher and Chair of World Languages at Castilleja School

"I really enjoyed the book that Sophia and Sean have made. My grandchildren really enjoyed the illustrations and I loved the way they explained all the issues with the virus." - Patty Wallace, Grandmother of three from Oregon

"I always feel so hopeful when young people reach out to me about the incredible projects they're working on. In this case, rising Stanford sophomore Sophia Nesamoney co-wrote a children's book with her brother about the time we're living in called 'The ABCs of Coronavirus.' The terms chosen for each letter of the alphabet are spot-on and often clever, and the illustrations are great. I love it!" - Julie Lythcott-Haims, New York Times bestselling author and former Dean of Freshman and Undergraduate Advising at Stanford University

"If you want to find a book that explains the pandemic in an educated yet simple way, this is the book for you and your family. I am so happy to have it as a resource for my students. As a child psychologist and school librarian, I have struggled to find a book about the pandemic that I feel comfortable sharing with children. Now I have one! Amazing!" - Heather Maxwell, Child Psychologist and Librarian at Trinity School

Meet The Founders
Hi, and welcome to How to Coronavirus! We're Sophia and Sean Nesamoney, siblings from the Bay Area, California. Sophia is a rising sophomore at Stanford University, who loves creative writing and hopes to pursue a career in medicine. Sean is a rising sophomore at Menlo High School who loves programming, digital art, and music production.
This summer, we had the idea to create a children's picture book to teach younger students the importance of staying safe and healthy during the COVID-19 Pandemic. We've learned a lot throughout the process of writing this book, and we hope that it can bring education about COVID-19 to our broader community.
